Legal, Governance and Policy
Building for good
At Stelia our vision for artificial intelligence extends far beyond innovation for its own sake. We believe AI is most powerful and most meaningful when it serves people; when it extends life, protects the planet and deepens our understanding of what it means to be human. This belief shapes everything we build. As frontier developers of this technology, we are focused on applying AI to the foundational pillars of human existence: health, knowledge, community and environmental sustainability. We treat these as sacred responsibilities. They define the quality of life today and the viability of life tomorrow.
Trust, by design.
Us
We are Stelia Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, with company number 13779434 and registered address at 37 Commercial Road, Poole, Dorset, England, BH14 0HU, United Kingdom. References to “we”, “us” and “our” in the policies and notices below are to Stelia Ltd.
Safety at the core
Trust and Security
The power of AI has to be matched by responsibility. As we build the essential engines and platforms that enable organisations to deploy and scale intelligent applications globally, our human-first approach guides everything we do, from early research to real-world integration.
A human-first approach to intelligent systems
AI is about people as much as algorithms. We design our platform and products to strengthen what people do, not to replace them. For a developer deploying an agent and for a business leader changing how their organisation works, the goal is the same: keep users in control, keep it clear, and support ethical use at scale.
This means integrating perspectives from engineers, domain experts and stakeholders across sectors so the AI we help deploy strengthens human judgement, safety and trust instead of undermining them.
Facing AI’s safety challenges head on
As AI becomes more capable and accessible, the safety challenges grow more complex:
- Security vulnerabilities in distributed systems and automated decision-making;
- Loss of human oversight in critical or sensitive applications;
- Misinformation and low-trust content generation;
- Misuse or unintended consequences when deployment is not guided by purpose and clarity;
- Bias and discrimination, inherited from training data or unintended design choices.
We do not take these issues lightly. What we build, and what we help others build, must meet a higher standard of care.
Responsibility built into the platform
We design for trust from the ground up:
- Transparent systems that are explainable and auditable;
- Guardrails and governance tools for responsible deployment;
- Scalable frameworks for testing and monitoring in live environments;
- Continuous collaboration with customers to surface edge cases, feedback and real-world learnings.
We simplify deployment without simplifying responsibility, and give organisations the tools to innovate safely.
A safer AI future for society
AI will change business outcomes, and it must safeguard human values while it does. Stelia is building a future where distributed intelligence earns trust at every level, not only scale. We help organisations get the most from AI, and we treat safety as a competitive advantage, because AI worth scaling is AI that benefits everyone it touches.
If you believe you have found a security vulnerability in our website or services, please contact us at [email protected] and give us a reasonable opportunity to address it before disclosing it publicly.
Usable by everyone
Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use our website and our products, whatever their ability or the technology they use. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing commitment rather than a one-time exercise.
We test and improve our interfaces over time, and we welcome feedback that helps us do better. If you encounter a barrier to using any part of our website or services, or you would like a policy on this page in another format, for example audio or large print, please tell us at [email protected], describing the page and the difficulty, and we will work to put it right.

Marketing
We will use your personal data to send you updates (usually by email or text message) about our services, including exclusive offers, promotions or new services. We have a legitimate interest in using your personal data for marketing purposes, which means we do not usually need your consent to send you marketing information. If we change our marketing approach in the future so that consent is needed, we will ask for this separately and clearly.
You have the right to opt out of receiving marketing communications at any time by using the ‘unsubscribe’ link in emails or the ‘STOP’ number in texts, or by updating your marketing preferences on the Stelia platform. We will always treat your personal data with the utmost respect, and will never sell it to other organisations for marketing purposes without your consent.

Under data protection laws, we can only transfer your personal data to a country outside the UK/EEA where the UK government (or, for EEA transfers, the European Commission) has decided the country ensures an adequate level of protection, where there are appropriate safeguards in place together with enforceable rights and effective legal remedies for you, or where a specific exception applies. Where we transfer your personal data outside the UK or EEA, we do so on the basis of an adequacy regulation or, where this is not available, legally-approved standard data protection clauses recognised or issued under Article 46(2) of the UK GDPR and/or EU GDPR. Any changes to the destinations to which we send personal data, or the transfer mechanisms we rely on, will be notified to you in accordance with ‘Changes to this privacy notice’ below.
